AbstractIn 1998, the UN Diplomatic Conference of Plenipotentiaries adopted the Rome Statute of the International Criminal Court (ICC). Article 7 of the ICC statue was developed through multilateral negotiations involving 160 states. Given the parties involved the expectation is that Article 7 is detailed than previous definitions. This paper examines the definition of "Crimes against Humanity" developed at the Rome conference.
