ডিসেম্বর বিজয়ের মাস। বাঙালীর অহঙ্কারের মাস। ৩৮ বছর আগে এদিন বাংলার দামাল ছেলেরা দেশ মাতৃকাকে পাকিস্তানী দখলদার বাহিনী ও তাদের এ দেশীয় দোসর জামায়াতের গোলাম আযম, নিজামীর ঘাতক বাহিনী আলবদর, আলশামসের দখল হতে মুক্ত করতে চূড়ান্ত লড়াইয়ে ঝাঁপিয়ে পড়েছিল। ১৯৭১-এর ১৬ ডিসেম্বর রমনা রেসকোর্স ময়দানে মিত্র বাহিনীর হাতে তাদের আত্মসমর্পণের মধ্য দিয়ে এই যুদ্ধের সমাপ্তি হয়েছিল। বিশ্বে খুব বেশি দেশে এ রকম একটা বিজয়ের মাস অথবা বিজয়ের ঐতিহাসিক মুহূর্ত পালন করা হয় না। এই মাস নিয়ে বাঙালীর আহঙ্কার চিরন্তন হয়ে থাকবে।
