‘যুদ্ধাপরাধের জন্য একাধিক লোকের বিচার হবে
প্রধানমন্ত্রী শেখ হাসিনা বলেছেন, বর্তমান সরকার ক্ষমতায় আসার পর সারা বিশ্বে বাংলাদেশের মর্যাদা বেড়েছে। এটা ধরে রাখতে হবে। গতকাল রোববার বঙ্গবন্ধু আন্তর্জাতিক সম্মেলন কেন্দ্রে ঐতিহাসিক সাতই মার্চ উপলক্ষে আওয়ামী লীগ আয়োজিত আলোচনা সভায় প্রধানমন্ত্রী এ কথা বলেন।

A case was filed on Wednesday against 23 alleged razakars (collaborators) with the Senior Judicial Magistrate court for killing a freedom fighter during the War of Liberation in 1971. Abdur Rab Sheikh, brother of martyred freedom fighter Jamiruddin Sheikh of Teligathi village in Morelganj upazila, filed the case with the court of Senior Judicial Magistrate Rakibul Islam. Says home minister
To fulfil election pledges of the government, trial of the war criminals will be held on this soil, Home Minister Sahara Khatun said yesterday.

Says Ashraf; sector commanders, Nirmul committee fire back at him
The government will bring a handful of war criminals to justice “as a symbolic trial”, said Awami League General Secretary Syed Ashraful Islam yesterday.
“The trial of war criminals doesn’t mean trials of thousands of people. It will be symbolic and those who led the massacre in 1971 will be tried,” he said clarifying government’s stance on the issue.

The 1971 war criminals must be tried paying no heed to the national and international evil forces, said Workers Party President Rashed Khan Menon yesterday.
“There is no alternative to holding trials of war criminals in order to protect the independence and sovereignty of the country,” he said, adding that a vested quarter is trying to foil the trials.
