Jamaat-e-Islami has threatened the government with tough action, while pleading with for the release of its top leaders arrested for defying the court.

The party’s Dhaka city secretary general Makbul Ahmad, at a press conference on Tuesday evening at the party headquarters, said Jamaat hoped that the government would release them by Wednesday.

জামায়াতে ইসলামীর মগবাজারের কেন্দ্রীয় কার্যালয় পুলিশি অবস্থান আরও জোরদার হয়েছে।

মঙ্গলবার বিকাল ৪টা থেকে রমনা থানা পুলিশের একটি দল কার্যালয়ের সামনে অবস্থান নেয়। পুরানা পল্টনে অবস্থিত দলটির মহানগর কার্যালয়ের সামনেও পুলিশ রয়েছে।
