Dhaka, Sep 16 (bdnews24.com)—The country is seeing an improved law and order only because the ‘war criminals’ have been kept under surveillance, the state minister for home has claimed.
Shamsul Hoque Tuku was exchanging Eid greetings with reporters at the Secretariat on Thursday.

বৃহস্পতিবার সচিবালয়ে স্বরাষ্ট্র প্রতিমন্ত্রীর সভাকক্ষে সাংবাদিকদের সঙ্গে ঈদের শুভেচ্ছা বিনিময়কালে তিনি একথা বলেন।

বিএনপির যুগ্ম মহাসচিব ও সাংসদ মাহবুব উদ্দিন খোকনকে বিদেশে যেতে বাধা না দিতে সরকারকে নির্দেশ দিয়েছেন হাইকোর্ট। গতকাল বুধবার বিচারপতি কামরুল ইসলাম সিদ্দিকী ও বিচারপতি জে বি এম হাসানের সমন্বয়ে গঠিত হাইকোর্টের অবকাশকালীন বেঞ্চ এক রিটের পরিপ্রেক্ষিতে এ নির্দেশ দেন।
একই সঙ্গে তাঁকে বিদেশ যেতে বাধা দেওয়া কেন বেআইনি ঘোষণা করা হবে না, তা জানতে চেয়ে রুল জারি করেছেন আদালত। চার সপ্তাহের মধ্যে সরকারকে রুলের জবাব দিতে বলা হয়েছে।
