A case has been filed in Chittagong on charges of killing a freedom fighter during the Liberation War in 1971.
Jashimuddin Chowdhury, a freedom fighter of Chandanaish, filed the case with judicial magistrate Farida Yasmin’s court on Tuesday afternoon.
The court directed the officer-in-charge of the Chandanaish Police Station to investigate into the case.
Public prosecutor of Chittagong District Court Nasir Uddin told bdnews24.com that former chairman of Bailtali union council of Chandanaish Upazila Ahmed Syed Chowdhury and eight of his unidentified assistants have been accused in the case.
