যুদ্ধাপরাধের অভিযোগে গ্রেপ্তার জামায়াতে ইসলামীর নেতা দেলাওয়ার হোসাইন সাঈদীকে আন্তর্জাতিক অপরাধ ট্রাইব্যুনালে নেওয়া হলেও আদালতে হাজির করা হয়নি।
মঙ্গলবার সকাল ১০টার দিকে পুরনো হাইকোর্ট ভবনে স্থাপিত ট্রাইব্যুনালে সাঈদীকে নেওয়া হয়। তার জামিনের আবেদনের শুনানি হওয়ার কথা ছিলো।
কিন্তু সাঈদী অসুস্থ হয়ে পড়ায় আদালতে না তুলেই তাকে কারা হেফাজতে ফেরত পাঠানো হয়।
সাঈদীর বিরুদ্ধে একাত্তরে হত্যা-ধর্ষণ-লুণ্ঠনের অভিযোগের প্রমাণ সম্বলিত ৪ হাজার ৭৪ পৃষ্ঠার প্রতিবেদন তৈরির কথা সোমবার জানায় যুদ্ধাপরাধ তদন্ত সংস্থা।

The investigation agency formed to probe the war crimes cases on Monday finalised the first-ever investigation report, pressing charges against Jamaat-e-Islami’s nayeb-e-amir, Delwar Hossain Sayedee.

The national committee for withdrawal of “politically-motivated” cases and the public prosecutor of Cox’s Bazar are locked in a blame game over letting former Jamaat chief Ghulam Azam’s bodyguard Akhter Hamid get off scot-free from several criminal charges.
