বিএনপির নেতা ও সাংসদ সালাউদ্দিন কাদের (সাকা) চৌধুরীর বিরুদ্ধে মানবতাবিরোধী অপরাধের মামলায় বিচার শুরু হয়েছে। আন্তর্জাতিক অপরাধ ট্রাইব্যুনাল-১ গতকাল বুধবার তাঁর বিরুদ্ধে মানবতাবিরোধী অপরাধের ২৩টি অভিযোগ গঠন করেছেন। ২৯ এপ্রিল রাষ্ট্রপক্ষের উদ্বোধনী বক্তব্যের মধ্য দিয়ে সাক্ষ্য গ্রহণ প্রক্রিয়া শুরু হবে।
