Dhaka, Oct 16 (bdnews24.com)-The first war crimes tribunal on Tuesday allowed Jamaat-e-Islami leader Delwar Hossain Sayedee’s son to submit copies of two general diaries as exhibits with a strong caution.
The tribunal Chairman Justice Mohammad Nizamul Huq told Sayedee’s defence whether they understood the gravity of their risk if the documents were proven forged.
The general diaries were filed by Amjad Hossain, an inspector of the tribunal’s investigation agency, who was in charge of security at the witness home in Golapbagh, Dhaka.

BNP MP Salauddin Quader Chowdhury’s defence counsel resumed cross-examination of the sixth prosecution witness on Tuesday at the war crimes tribunal.
The three-judge International Crimes Tribunal – 1, set up to try crimes against humanity during the 1971 Bangladesh Liberation War, indicted the six time MP from Chittagong on Apr 4 for 23 war crimes.
Defence counsel Ahsanul Huq resumed cross-examining Nirmal Chandra Sharma on Tuesday and is expected to continue after lunch.

একাত্তরের মুক্তিযুদ্ধের সময় মানবতাবিরোধী অপরাধের অভিযোগে গ্রেফতারকৃত জামায়াতের নায়েবে আমির মাওলানা দেলাওয়ার হোসাইন সাঈদীর বিরুদ্ধে তদন্তকারী কর্মকর্তা এএসপি মোঃ হেলালউদ্দিনকে চতুর্থ দিনের মতো জেরা করেছে আসামি পক্ষের আইনজীবী। আজও তাঁর জেরা চলবে। অন্যদিকে জামায়াতের সহকারী সেক্রেটারি জেনারেল মুহাম্মদ কামারুজ্জামানের বিরুদ্ধে ফরমাল চার্জ পড়া শেষ হয়েছে। তার আইনজীবীদের যুক্তিতর্ক উপস্থাপনের দিন ১৩ মে ধার্য করা হয়েছে। একই অভিযোগে আব্দুল আলীমের বিরুদ্ধে অভিযোগ গঠনের বিষয়ে আজ আবার শুনানি অনুষ্ঠিত হবে। মঙ্গলবার আন্তর্জাতিক অপরাধ ট্রাইব্যুনাল-১ ও ২ এই আদেশ দিয়েছে।
