David Cameron has said “gaps” in national security must be plugged as he defended plans for more secret court hearings and more internet monitoring.
It follows concerns raised by Deputy Prime Minister Nick Clegg and others about civil liberties implications.
Mr Clegg said allowing ministers, not judges, to order court proceedings to be held in secret went too far.

কৌঁসুলিদের পারফরমেন্স নিয়ে নানা সমালোচনা হচ্ছে, এমন কী আইনমন্ত্রী পর্যন্ত বলেছেন এঁরা চাইলে পদত্যাগ করতে পারেন।

বাংলাদেশের আইনমন্ত্রী শফিক আহমেদ বলেছেন যে আন্তর্জাতিক অপরাধ ট্রাইব্যুনালে রাষ্ট্রপক্ষের কোন কৌশুলী বা প্রসিকিউটর যদি পদত্যাগ করতে চান, তবে সরকার তাতে আপত্তি জানাবে না।
মানবতাবিরোধী অপরাধের বিচারের জন্যে গঠিত ট্রাইব্যুনালের কিছু প্রসিকিউটরের মামলা পরিচালনার যোগ্যতা নিয়ে ব্যাপক সমালেোচনা ওঠার পর তিনি বিবিসি’র কাছে এই মন্তব্য করলেন।
মিঃ আহমেদ আরো বলেন যে কিছুদিনের মধ্যেই সরকার ট্রাইব্যুনালে আরো কয়েকজন নতুন প্রসিকিউটর নিয়োগ করবে।

A senior minister in Bangladesh has vowed to bring to justice those responsible for plotting a coup.

On Thursday the Bangladesh army said it had foiled a conspiracy against Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina’s government.

War crimes judges in The Hague have dismissed charges against a Rwandan rebel leader accused of murder and rape in the Democratic Republic of Congo.
The judges at the International Criminal Court ordered the release of Callixte Mbarushimana because of lack of evidence to back up the charges.
Prosecutors said they would appeal, requesting to halt the release.
Mr Mbarushimana, a Hutu rebel leader, has denied ordering his fighters to kill and rape civilians in 2009.
