পিরোজপুর : যুদ্ধাপরাধীদের দ্রুত বিচার দাবি, বিরোধীদলের ষড়যন্ত্র ও  নৈরাজ্যের প্রতিবাদে সোমবার মানববন্ধন করেছে পিরোজপুর যুবলীগ।
পিরোজপুর সদর উপজেলা যুবলীগের আয়োজনে পিরোজপুর শহরের শহীদ ওমর ফারুক সড়কে বেলা ১১টায় এ মানববন্ধন অনুষ্ঠিত হয় ।
সদর উপজেলা যুবলীগের আহ্বায়ক মাহমুদুর রহমান এর সভাপতিত্বে এ মানববন্ধনে অন্যান্যের মধ্যে বক্তব্য রাখেন- জেলা যুবলীগের সাধারণ সম্পাদক জিয়উল আহসান গাজী, সাংগঠনিক সম্পাদক আক্তারুজ্জামান মানিক, রেজাউল করিম মন্টু, মোস্তাফিজুর রহমান প্রমুখ।

Jan 29, Colombo: The United States Ambassador-at-Large for War Crimes Issues, Stephen J. Rapp will be in Sri Lanka next week, unconfirmed reports say.
Rapp is expected to have high level discussions with the Sri Lankan government officials including the President Mahinda Rajapaksa, opposition and civil society leaders.

Dhaka, Jan 13 (bdnews24.com) – State minister for law Qamrul Islam on Friday warned of tougher action against anyone creating chaos to obstruct the war crimes trial.
“Jamaat-e-Islami has gone violent to obstruct the trial. They (Jamaat activists) are carrying out criminal activities and creating disorder,” Qamrul said during a discussion at the Liberation War Museum in the capital’s Segunbagicha.

Dhaka, Jan 11 (bdnews24.com)— Jamaat-e-Islami linchpin Ghulam Azam was admitted to Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujib Medical University hospital hours after the he was refused bail and sent to the Dhaka Central Jail on Wednesday.
The hospitalisation of the 90-year old former Jamaat chief, who is said to be suffering from old-age and health complications, took place following an appeal by his lawyers.

ঢাকা, জানুয়ারি ১১ (বিডিনিউজ টোয়েন্টিফোর ডটকম)- একাত্তরে যুদ্ধাপরাধের ঘটনায় জামিন আবেদন খারিজ করে জামায়াতে ইসলামীর সাবেক আমীর গোলাম আযমকে কারাগারে পাঠানোর নির্দেশ দিয়েছে আন্তর্জাতিক অপরাধ ট্রাইব্যুনাল।
বুধবার সকালে শুনানির পর নিজামুল হকের নেতৃত্বে তিন সদস্যের ট্রাইব্যুনাল এই আদেশ দেয়। সাবেক এই জামায়াত নেতার বিরুদ্ধে অভিযোগ গঠনের শুনানি শুরুর জন্য ১৫ ফেব্র“য়ারি দিন রেখেছে আদালত।

একাত্তরে মানবতাবিরোধী অপরাধের অভিযোগে আন্তর্জাতিক অপরাধ ট্রাইব্যুনালে হাজিরার নির্ধারিত দিনের ২৪ ঘণ্টা আগেই জামিনের আবেদন করেছেন জামায়াতে ইসলামীর সাবেক আমীর গোলাম আযম।
তার আইনজীবী এম তাজুল ইসলাম বিডিনিউজ টোয়েন্টিফোর ডটকমকে বলেন, “আমরা সকালে একটি জামিনের আবেদন করেছি। কাল (বুধবার) হাজিরার তারিখ আছে। আশা করছি, কাল এটা শুনানির জন্য উঠবে।”
জামিন আবেদনে কারণ হিসেবে গোলাম আযমের বার্ধক্য ও স্বাস্থ্যগত জটিলতার কথা উল্লেখ করা হয়েছে বলে জানান তিনি।
