বিএনপির নেতা ও সাবেক মন্ত্রী আবদুল আলীমের বিরুদ্ধে করা মানবতাবিরোধী অপরাধের মামলায় জামিন দিয়েছেন আন্তর্জাতিক ট্রাইব্যুনাল-২। আজ বৃহস্পতিবার বিচারপতি এ টি এম ফজলে কবীরের নেতৃত্বে তিন সদস্যের ট্রাইব্যুনাল এ আদেশ দেন।
এর আগে ট্রাইব্যুনাল-১-এ এই মামলা বিচারাধীন থাকা অবস্থায় ওই ট্রাইব্যুনালও আলীমকে জামিন দিয়ে ছিলেন।

International Crimes Tribunal (ICT-1) Wednesday rejected the review petition and another petition seeking amendment of indictment order of BNP leader Salahuddin Quader Chowdhury.
The three-member led by ICT-1 Chairman Nizamul Haque passed the order.
Barrister Fakhrul Islam moved for Salahuddin Quader while prosecutor Zead-Al-Malum stood for the state in the hearing.
On April 4, the tribunal indicted SQ Chowdhury MP on charges of wartime ‘crimes against humanity’.
The tribunal also fixed April 29 for the prosecution to place their opening statement against the BNP leader.

Jamaat-e-Islami leader Delwar Hossain Sayedee’s war crimes investigator concluded his deposition at the International Crimes Tribunal-1 on Tuesday with all the senior defence counsels absent for the second consecutive day.
The three-judge tribunal, chaired by Justice Mohammad Nizamul Huq, was set up on Mar 25, 2010 to deal with crimes against humanity during the 1971 Liberation War.

Although the Bangladesh government emphasises quick disposal of war crimes cases, the newly formed International Crimes Tribunal-2 sits idle as it has no case to deal with.

A six-member probe team of the International Crimes Tribunal is now visiting Chittagong to investigate alleged crimes against humanity by BNP leader Salauddin Quader Chowdhury in 1971.
Their trip came as part of the preparation for the trial against Salauddin which is scheduled to start on April 29.
