Dhaka, Dec 31 (bdnews24.com) — The first war crimes tribunal on Monday completed hearing arguments from both sides on applications for retrial of three Jamaat-e-Islami leaders.
The three-judge International Crimes Tribunal – 1, set up to try crimes against humanity during the 1971 Liberation War, indicted Jamaat guru and former chief Ghulam Azam for five war crimes charges, party chief Motiur Rahman Nizami for 16 and Executive Council Member Delwar Hossain Sayedee for 20 charges.

Dhaka, Oct 22 (bdnews24.com) – The first war crimes tribunal of Bangladesh on Monday asked a Jamaat-e-Islami defence counsel to explain why legal action should not be taken for his ‘misconduct’.

Dhaka, Oct 16 (bdnews24.com)-The first war crimes tribunal on Tuesday allowed Jamaat-e-Islami leader Delwar Hossain Sayedee’s son to submit copies of two general diaries as exhibits with a strong caution.
The tribunal Chairman Justice Mohammad Nizamul Huq told Sayedee’s defence whether they understood the gravity of their risk if the documents were proven forged.
The general diaries were filed by Amjad Hossain, an inspector of the tribunal’s investigation agency, who was in charge of security at the witness home in Golapbagh, Dhaka.

Dhaka, Aug 5 (bdnews24.com) —Jamaat-e-Islami’s chief counsel Abdur Razzaq on Sunday filed a contempt petition against ruling Awami League leader Syeda Sajeda Chowdhury at the second war crimes tribunal.
