DHAKA: International Crimes Tribunal-2 Tuesday issued arrest warrant against Abul Kalam Azad alias ‘Bacchu Razakar’ for crimes against humanity during liberation war in 1971.
In the arrest warrant, the tribunal asked the Dhaka Metropolitan Police Commissioner to ensure execution of the order and to produce him before the court within 24 hours.
A three-member tribunal of ICT-2 headed by Justice ATM Fazle Kabir passed the order in this regard.

Dhaka, Apr 3 (bdnews24.com) – The second war crimes tribunal (ICT-2) on Tuesday ordered arrest of Abul Kalam Azad, popularly known as ‘Bachchu Razakar’ of Faridpur.
The International Crimes Tribunal (ICT-2) led by Justice A T M Fazle Kabir issued the order after hearing prosecution’s plea in this regard.
Sixty-four-year-old Azad was an accomplice of Jamaat-e-Islami’s secretary general Ali Ahsan Mohammad Mujaheed in Faridpur district during the 1971 Liberation War.
Mujaheed is facing trial for crimes against humanity during the war.
