Dhaka, Mar 21 (bdnews24.com) – The government is set to announce a second war crimes tribunal on Thursday to accelerate the pace of ongoing trial of crimes against humanity during the 1971 Liberation War.
Justice ATM Fazle Kabir, currently a member of the International Crimes Tribunal (ICT), will head the second tribunal, a top government source told bdnews24.com.
Justice Obaidul Hasan and registrar of the present tribunal Shahinur Islam will be the two other members of the new entity.

ঢাকা, মার্চ ২১ (বিডিনিউজ টোয়েন্টিফোর ডটকম)- একাত্তরের যুদ্ধাপরাধের বিচার ‘ত্বরান্বিত’ করতে আরেকটি ট্রাইব্যুনাল গঠনের প্রজ্ঞাপন বৃহস্পতিবারই হচ্ছে বলে সরকারের শীর্ষ পর্যায়ের একটি সূত্র জানিয়েছে।
প্রথম ট্রাইব্যুনাল গঠনের দুই বছর পর গঠিত হতে যাওয়া দ্বিতীয় ট্রাইব্যুনালে বর্তমান ট্রাইব্যুনালের সদস্য বিচারপতি এ টি এম ফজলে কবীরকে প্রধান করা হচ্ছে।
ওই সূত্র বুধবার বিডিনিউজ টোয়েন্টিফোর ডটকমকে জানায়, দ্বিতীয় ট্রাইব্যুনালে অন্য দুই সদস্য হচ্ছেন বিচারপতি ওবায়দুল হাসান ও বর্তমান ট্রাইব্যুনালের নিবন্ধক মো. শাহীনুর ইসলাম।
ওই ব্যক্তি বলেন, “বিচারপতি ফজলে কবীরের স্থলে প্রথম ট্রাইব্যুনালে বিচারপতি আনোয়ারুল হককে সদস্য করা হবে।”

The government is going to form the second International Crimes Tribunal within this month for quick disposal of war-crimes related cases, Law Minister Shafique Ahmed told The Daily Star yesterday.
