ICT deferred date for indictment hearing of Jamaat-e-Islami assistant secretary-general Abdul Quader Molla till Feb 19.

The defence kept its cross-examination rather brief and in fact declined to cross-examine two witnesses who only corroborated the seizure of evidence by the investigation officer.

Earlier, the tribunal adjourned for half an hour responding to a defence plea to allow them time for examining documents.

Dhaka, Jan 13 (bdnews24.com) – State minister for law Qamrul Islam on Friday warned of tougher action against anyone creating chaos to obstruct the war crimes trial.
“Jamaat-e-Islami has gone violent to obstruct the trial. They (Jamaat activists) are carrying out criminal activities and creating disorder,” Qamrul said during a discussion at the Liberation War Museum in the capital’s Segunbagicha.

DHAKA: Detained Jamaat leader Delawar Hossain Sayedee`s counsel Sunday were cross-examining prosecution witnesses over their depositions against him at the International Crimes Tribunal.
