Dhaka, Dec 12 (bdnews24.com)—The prosecution has moved the war crimes tribunal to issue arrest warrant for Jamaat-e-Islami’s guru and former chief Ghulam Azam for his role in the 1971 Liberation War against Pakistan.
The appeal was made on Monday after chief prosecutor Ghulam Arieff Tipoo submitted a 52-point charter of charges to the three-judge tribunal headed by Justice Nizamul Huq on Monday.
The tribunal accepted the charges and forwarded the submission to the court’s registrar.

Dhaka, Dec 11 (bdnews24.com) — The war crimes tribunal has adjourned cross-examination of the first prosecution witness in a case against Jamaat-e-Islami leader Delwar Hossain Sayedee.
The cross-examination will resume on Monday after submission of certain documents by the Jamaat executive council member’s defence.

শনিবার বিকালে চট্টগ্রামে এমএ আজিজ স্টেডিয়াম সংলগ্ন জিমনেশিয়ামে মাঠে ১৫ দিনব্যাপী ‘মুক্তিযুদ্ধের বিজয় মেলার’ উদ্বোধনী অনুষ্ঠান শেষে সাংবাদিকদের প্রশ্নের উত্তরে প্রতিমন্ত্রী এ কথা বলেন।
