Dhaka, Jan 31 (bdnews24.com)— The International Crimes Tribunal has taken cognizance of war crimes charges against Jamaat-e-Islami assistant secretary-general Mohammad Kamruzzaman.
In a verdict on Tuesday, the tribunal headed by judge Nizamul Haque said, “Formal charges, witness’ testimonies and investigation report clearly suggest that (war) crimes were committed (by the accused). Therefore, according to the International Crimes Tribunal law, the charges are hereby taken into cognizance.”

Dhaka, Jan 30 (bdnews24.com) � A stumbling prosecution lost in its own documents prompted an irate war crimes tribunal to adjourn the proceedings for the day soon after it returned from a half-hour recess on Monday.

DHAKA: Madhusudhan Gharami, the 15th prosecution witnesses, did not give his depositions against detained Jamaat leader Delawar Hossain Sayedee over his alleged involvement in ‘crimes against humanity’ during the 1971 Liberation War due to his illness.
