ঢাকা, ডিসেম্বর ২২ (বিডিনিউজ টোয়েন্টিফোর ডটকম)- দেশের শীর্ষস্থানীয় ১৫ জন শিক্ষক, সাংবাদিক, সাহিত্যিক ও মানবাধিকারকর্মী রোববার সাম্প্রদায়িকতাবিরোধী সম্মেলন আহ্বান করেছেন।
রাজধানীর মহানগর নাট্যমঞ্চের কাজী বশির মিলনায়তনে এই সম্মেলন হবে।
আয়োজকদের পক্ষে ঢাকা বিশ্ববিদ্যালয়ের অর্থনীতির অধ্যাপক এমএম আকাশ শনিবার বিডিনিউজ টোয়েন্টিফোর ডটকমকে বলেন, কক্সবাজারের রামুতে সাম্প্রদায়িক সন্ত্রাস এবং যুদ্ধাপরাধের বিচার বাধাগ্রস্ত করতে সারা দেশে যে সহিংস কর্মকাণ্ড চলছে তা প্রতিরোধে সবাইকে সোচ্চার হতে এ সম্মেলনের আয়োজন করা হয়েছে।
“মুক্তিযুদ্ধের চেতনার পক্ষের সবাই যাতে ঐক্যবদ্ধ হয়ে সাম্প্রদায়িক শক্তির বিরুদ্ধে রুখে দাঁড়ায় সেজন্য এই সম্মেলন।”

War crimes accused Ghulam Azam’s son Brig Gen (dismissed) Abdullahil Aman Azmi yesterday told the International Crimes Tribunal-1 about his role during HM Ershad’s regime in 1982.
While testifying for his father at Tribunal-1, Azmi said he was assigned to censor programmes and news items broadcast by Bangladesh Television and Bangladesh Betar in 1982-83, during the second spell of the martial law.

জামায়াতে ইসলামীর সহকারী সেক্রেটারি জেনারেল মোহাম্মদ কামারুজ্জামানের বিরুদ্ধে মানবতাবিরোধী অপরাধের মামলায় সাক্ষ্য দিয়েছেন রাষ্ট্রপক্ষের দশম সাক্ষী মো. জালাল উদ্দিন। জবানবন্দিতে তিনি বলেছেন, একাত্তরে কামারুজ্জামান শেরপুরে রাজাকারদের নেতা ছিলেন। সাক্ষী মো. জালাল উদ্দিন বলেন, সোহাগপুর ও বেনুপাড়া গ্রামে কামারুজ্জামান ও স্থানীয় রাজাকাররা পাকিস্তানি সেনাদের নিয়ে প্রায় ২৪৫ জনকে হত্যা করে। রাজাকাররা কামারুজ্জামানের কথায় ওঠাবসা করত।
