Dhaka, Jan 11 (bdnews24.com) –Jamaat-e-Islami guru and former chief Ghulam Azam facing charges of crimes against humanity landed in jail, pending legal procedures, after the International Crimes Tribunal (ICT) rejected his bail plea and asked authorities to put him behind bars on Wednesday.

জামায়াতে ইসলামীর নায়েবে আমির মাওলানা দেলাওয়ার হোসাইন সাঈদীর বিরুদ্ধে পিরোজপুরের পাড়েরহাট এলাকার সুলতান আহমেদ হাওলাদার নামের আরো এক সাক্ষী জবানবন্দি দিয়েছেন আন্তর্জাতিক অপরাধ ট্রাইব্যুনালে। তিনি আদালতে বলেছেন, দেলাওয়ার হোসাইন শিকদার কথিত সাঈদী একাত্তরে স্বাধীনতাযুদ্ধের সময় পাড়েরহাটে আসা পাকিস্তানি হানাদার বাহিনীকে হিন্দু সম্প্রদায় ও মুক্তিযুদ্ধ সমর্থনকারী আওয়ামী লীগের নেতা-কর্মীদের দোকান ও বাড়িঘর দেখিয়ে দেওয়ার পর সেখানে লুটপাট সংঘটিত হয়। সাঈদীসহ অন্য রাজাকাররা এ সময় ইব্রাহিম কুট্টি ও মফিজ নামের দুজনকে ধরে নিয়ে যায়। এর মধ্যে ইব্রাহিমকে গুলি করে হত্যার পর তাঁর লাশ পানিতে ফেলে দেয়। মফিজকে রাজাকার ক্যাম্পে ধরে নিয়ে নির্যাতন করে। পরে মফিজ ওই ক্যাম্প থেকে পালিয়ে যান।
